Amidst the golden hills and mines of the Westerlands lies the little-known House Algood, sworn to the mighty House Lannister of Casterly Rock. Unlike their lion overlords, the Algoods have left but faint echoes in the chronicles of Westeros.
Their heraldry is striking nonetheless: a golden wreath on a field of blue, bordered in gold, a symbol perhaps of honor, unity, or the triumph of wealth. Their house words remain unrecorded, leaving their voice lost to time.
History
Very little is known of House Algood. What lore does exist comes from semi-canon sources, which note their arms and fealty to House Lannister. Unlike the great Westerland families, the Cleganes, Leffords, or Crakehalls, the Algoods have not made a name on the battlefield, in court intrigue, or in the songs of the realm.
Some maesters speculate that their golden wreath symbolizes either victory in forgotten battles or perhaps a connection to the riches of the land itself, since gold is both the pride of Lannisport and the lifeblood of the Westerlands. This, however, remains unconfirmed.
House Algood at the End of the Third Century
Unlike many noble houses of Westeros, no known members of House Algood have yet appeared in the events of A Song of Ice and Fire. Their lord is unnamed, their line is obscure, and their fate is uncertain.
Yet in a land where minor houses rise and fall with the tides of war, the Algoods remain sworn to the Lannisters, their gold-bordered blue shield a quiet reminder of loyalty amidst the lions’ roar.

Legacy
Though their lords and knights do not stride through the pages of history, House Algood endures. Their shield suggests a house of pride, endurance, and loyalty, if not power. Perhaps one day, the Algoods will step from the margins of history and claim their place among the voices of Westeros.
Until then, they remain a quiet mystery beneath the shadow of the lion.
